Using a new app can be scary proposition, worrying about what the different buttons do, how it works, it can be confusing. Not to worry, we have you covered – welcome to the Beginners Guide to Using Clipp!
Creating a profile is easy and pretty standard – name, age, gender and email address. The thing that people find most weird is having to take a photo of yourself. Don’t worry it doesn’t have to be a nice looking photo (a smile always helps though) it’s just there so bar staff can recognise you. Protip – sign in with Facebook to save time. We never post of your behalf.
Clipp will show you which venues are closest to you, first with amazing Last Minute offers and then, under the “Nearby” tab, just those that are geographically closest.
Simply tap the venue you like and you will see some greater detail about the venue and their offer to you. It has important information on it, probably the most important is the minimum spend and the discount you get when you go over the minimum spend. Once you have finished drooling at the 40% Last Minute offer (don’t spend to long doing this, they go quick!) tap next to open your Clipp.
The limit is the most you are going to allow yourself to spend in one Clipp. However, you can increase your limit with your credit card at participating venues. If you set a limit of $200 then that would be the most you could spend. Once you have set your limit tap “Open Now”.
Now that you have opened a Clipp, a number will be flashing in a blue circle, this is your Clipp number. Show this to the venue when you make your orders so that they know to put the drinks or food on your Clipp. As you order you can see how much you have spent in real-time and how close you are to that Last Minute offer. You’ll have to start wondering what you’ll do with those savings!
Need to make tracks from the venue? All you need to do is hit tap “Close” at the bottom of your Clipp. This will Close off your Clipp and pay for it, if you want you can leave a tip. Now leave like a rockstar!
Congratulations on completing the Beginners Guide to Using Clipp! Enjoy Clipping.
